Ossian Blanco is an exceptional white wine made 100% from Verdejo grapes from V.T. Castilla y León. This wine is characterized by its fermentation in French barrels, enhancing its complexity and purity. The grapes come from a careful selection of parcels around the terraces of Voltoya, located in areas like Nieva and Aldeanueva del Codonal. The soils, rich in sands and pebbles, have protected the vines from phylloxera, allowing 200-year-old vines to produce exceptional quality grapes. Viticulture in these ancient lands of northern Segovia, characterized by freezing winters and hot summers, allows for the development of an authentic Verdejo that reflects the effort and dedication of the winemakers. Through a light pressing, the must is transferred to tanks and wooden barrels, where spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts becomes a song of purity, showcasing the unique identity of the vineyard. Ossian 2021 was bottled in the summer of 2022 after approximately nine months of aging on its lees. This singular wine with tasting notes highlights the balance and integration of Verdejo in each sip, offering a unique experience that transports the palate to the biological richness of the cultivation land.
