Tarsus La Despistada 2020 is an exceptional white wine from the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, known for its quality and unique characteristics. This wine is made from 100% Albillo Mayor grapes, a white variety that has gained recognition in recent years for its versatility and elegance. The Tarsus winery employs a winemaking process similar to that of red wines, beginning with the incubation of the grapes and a cold maceration for 24 hours. The must is then bled into a tank while the rest of the grapes are pressed, combining both musts for a balanced blend. Part of the must ferments in 500-liter barrels, giving it special character and depth, while the rest completes fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine undergoes aging in 500-liter barrels and concrete tanks for 6 months, adding complexity and a silky texture to the palate. On the tasting note, Tarsus La Despistada presents an attractive pale yellow color with a greenish rim.
