Trena is the new wine joining the Casa Lo Alto lineup, originating from the native variety Tardana. Its name, "Trena," refers to the agricultural practice of stacking sheaves in a triangular prism shape, a local tradition in the region. This wine stands out for its origin in clay-limestone soil, located over 700 meters above sea level in the province of Valencia. The harvest, carried out on October 15, 2019, was done by hand and in 15-kilogram boxes, ensuring the fruit's quality. Fermentation happened spontaneously using wild yeasts, in concrete tanks and large oak fudres. The wine rested with its fine lees until bottling, giving it complexity and depth of flavor. The label of the wine, designed by Dani Nebot, features a warrior figure, symbolizing a connection with the region's history and future. Trena presents itself as a modern and fresh option, ideal for those looking to explore the treasures of Valencian wine while always respecting tradition.
