Doniene Gorrondona, Ondarea is a barrel-fermented white Txakoli. the vintage is presented with a renewed, more current image, and a new name Ondarea (heritage, inherited in Basque), to facilitate the differentiation between the different wines made in the winery.
DONIENE GORRONDONA TXAKOLINA has been a pioneer in the Txakoli de Bizkaia Denomination of Origin as a professional winery.
The viticulture part has an important component of manual work, due to the location in a rugged terrain with an Atlantic climate. The winemaking process is very personalised and although it is supported by modern technological means, it follows a traditional criterion.
Hondarrabi beltza and Hondarrabi zuri are our signs of identity. Native varieties of red and white grapes respectively, they are giving very positive results in the different elaborations we make. As well as giving rise to the development of new research, they have become an attraction for visitors who are looking for products made with "unknown" grape varieties.
