Barbar Bok Beer
The Barbar Bok is a Strong Dark Ale style beer that stands out for its use of floral honey in its recipe, following the tradition of the Lefebvre house. With an alcohol content of 8.5% vol., this "Bok" version is characterized by the use of roasted malts that give it a dark mahogany color and a dense cinnamon-colored foam. On the nose, it is extremely complex, revealing aromas of caramel, chocolate, spices, and, of course, the unmistakable sweet and smooth touch of honey. On the palate, it is a powerful and warm beer; the initial sweetness of the honey and malt is balanced by notes of dried fruits and a slightly bitter and liqueur-like finish. It is a "slow-drinking" beer, perfect for cold months or to enjoy as an after-dinner drink.
