The Petit Caus Red is one of the most honest and recognized wines from Can Ràfols dels Caus, an iconic winery led by Carlos Esteva in the Garraf Massif. This young wine is made under a philosophy of minimal intervention, following principles of organic agriculture. This translates into fermentation without selected yeasts or enzymes, allowing the expression of the purity of the Mediterranean landscape surrounding the estate. This complex blend features varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, and Tempranillo, sourced from vineyards planted in poor but limestone-rich soils. There is no aging in wood, thus preserving the freshness of the fruit and the typicity of the Garraf terroir. In the glass, it shows a cherry red color with violet reflections and an explosive nose of fresh red fruits like raspberries and pomegranate, accompanied by notes of wild aromatic herbs.
