Dame de Boüard is the second wine of Château Clos de Boüard, in the recognized AOC Montagne Saint-Émilion. This red wine is crafted under the expertise of Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of Château Angélus, and stands out for its majority blend of Merlot, complemented by a small percentage of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The aging of this wine takes place for a period of 10 to 14 months in French oak barrels, with 15% new wood, contributing to its complexity. In the glass, it shows an attractive intense ruby color. Its aromatic profile is impressive, dominated by ripe dark fruits such as plum and blackberry, along with notes of graphite, sweet spices, and subtle aromatic herbs. Its velvety and creamy texture is expressed on the palate, accompanied by silky tannins leading to an enveloping volume, culminating in a fresh and vibrant finish.
