Tomàs Cusiné Geol is a very limited production red wine made in the prestigious D.O. Costers del Segre. This wine comes from old vineyards located over 700 meters above sea level in Les Garrigues, where the unique soils of gravel, clay, and limestone typical of the Prades Mountains provide an ideal environment for slow maturation and great flavor concentration. Made with a careful blend of grape varieties, with Cariñena, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon being the stars of this organic production, Tomàs Cusiné ensures that each bottle has a distinctive character. The harvest is done manually, with a double selection berry by berry, guaranteeing that only the best fruits are used. After fermentation with native yeasts, the wine is aged for 8 months in 600-liter French oak barrels, which helps soften its structure while preserving the fruity essence of the product. On the nose, Geol offers an intense aromatic experience, highlighting notes of dark fruits like plums and blackberries, accompanied by hints of cedar, chocolate, and licorice. On the palate, it is broad, silky, and enveloping, with rounded tannins that balance power and elegance. With a limited production of only 2,000 to 3,000 bottles, this wine is an exceptional option for pairing with red meats, lamb, game, or hearty stews.
