The Kripta Gran Anyada 2013 is a collector's cava, the result of one of the best harvests of the decade in Penedès. Made with the historic blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada from vineyards over 60 years old, this specimen has undergone extreme aging that exceeds 120 months (10 years) in the cellars. Like the classic Kripta, it is aged with a natural cork stopper and subjected to a manual disgorgement. It is a Brut Nature that shows the maximum evolutionary capacity of the indigenous varieties under the traditional method.
Visually, it presents an intense golden color, very bright, with a tiny bubble that fully integrates into the wine, creating an almost creamy texture. On the nose, it is an exhibition of complexity: notes of candied fruit, dried apricots, and honey blend with deep aromas of long evolution such as coffee, cocoa, toasted brioche, and balsamic touches. On the palate, it is majestic, with an imposing structure and an acidity that, surprisingly, keeps the whole fresh and vertical. The finish is infinite, with mineral and dried fruit notes. It is a cava for great occasions, pairing perfectly with high gastronomy dishes such as game meats, truffled stews, or extremely aged cheeses.
