The Perelada 5 Finques Blanco is a complex blend that arises from the combination of grapes from five estates with different soils and microclimates (Garbet, Malaveïna, La Garriga, Pont de Molins, and Espolla). It is primarily made with Garnacha Blanca, accompanied by varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and, occasionally, a hint of Chardonnay or Macabeo. What defines its personality is that part of the wine undergoes fermentation and aging in oak barrels (usually around 4-6 months), while the other part is kept in tank to preserve the freshness of the fruit.
In appearance, it presents a pale yellow color with bright golden reflections. On the nose, it is very rich in nuances: notes of stone fruit (apricot), ripe citrus, and white flowers emerge, perfectly integrated with subtle hints of vanilla, toasty, and smoky notes from the wood. On the palate, it is a wine with body, creaminess, and structure, but balanced by good acidity that makes it vibrant. Its finish is long, with an aftertaste where the fruit reappears along with a slight mineral touch. It is ideal for dishes of greater intensity than a young white: fish in sauce, soupy rice, white meats, and medium-aged cheeses.
