Ginseng root is the part of a short and twisted plant that has been used since ancient times in the East as a medicinal panacea, to cure a multitude of ailments. It owes its properties to its richness in saponin glycosides called "Ginsenosides", among others. A powerful nervous stimulant, it increases resistance to fatigue, improves tolerance to cold, is hypoglycemic (increases insulin production and regulates glycogen formation) and hypolipemic (reducing cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood).
