Aalto 2022 Magnum (1.5 L) is one of the flagship wines of Bodegas Aalto , a project founded by renowned winemaker Mariano García and Javier Zaccagnini in the heart of Ribera del Duero. It is made exclusively with Tinto Fino , from a selection of old vineyards scattered throughout different villages in the appellation, which gives the wine greater complexity and richness of nuances.
After the manual harvest and a rigorous selection of clusters, the wine is aged for 17 months in French and American oak barrels , where it acquires structure, elegance and aromatic depth without losing the expression of the fruit.
The nose is notable for its aromas of ripe black fruit, licorice and spices , accompanied by subtle toasted notes from the aging. The palate is powerful, balanced and silky , with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish that reflects the character of the great wines of Ribera del Duero. The Magnum format (1.5 L) favors a slower and more harmonious evolution of the wine in bottle, ideal for cellaring or for special occasions.
