Aster Finca El Otero 2018 is a red wine from the renowned Bodega Áster, originating from the prestigious Ribera del Duero region. This wine is made from Tempranillo grapes harvested through a meticulous process. The harvest of the El Otero plot began on October 7, where the grapes were refrigerated in 20-kilo boxes until they reached 4°C, preserving their freshness and quality. During vinification, the wine underwent a three-month malolactic fermentation, accompanied by weekly battonage of the lees, contributing to its complexity and structure. Subsequently, a careful selection of barrels was made, ensuring the wine matured in French oak barrels, giving it a unique aromatic and taste profile. This wine is ideal for pairing with red meats and aged cheeses, and thanks to its aging process, it is recommended to allow some time for aeration before serving.
