Castro Ventosa Valtuille Vino de Villa 2022 is an exquisite representation of the new classification of village wines from Bierzo. This wine accurately reflects the minimal intervention philosophy adopted by Raúl Pérez, one of Spain's most influential winemakers. Made in Valtuille de Abajo, the grapes come from small plots in historic locations characterized by old vines and low yields. The fermentation with indigenous yeasts and the use of whole clusters accentuate the freshness and aromatic expression of this wine. Aged for 12 months in used barrels, the wine aims to preserve the identity of the vineyard. On the nose, aromas of red cherry, raspberry, blackberry, violets, and subtle floral and spicy notes are appreciated. On the palate, its silky texture and freshness, accompanied by fine tannins, highlight its remarkable sense of lightness and depth.
