Figuero Viñas Viejas 2020 is an exceptional red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, produced by Bodegas García Figuero. This family winery, located in La Horra (Burgos), has a long history in vineyard cultivation. The wine is made from Tinto Fino grapes, many of which come from vineyards over 60 years old, grown in the characteristic clay-limestone soils of the region. After a manual harvest and careful selection of the bunches, Figuero Viñas Viejas 2020 ferments in stainless steel tanks. It then ages for approximately 15 months in French oak barrels, a process that adds complexity and structure while respecting the natural expression of the fruit. On the nose, this wine presents intense aromas of ripe black fruits like plums and blackberries, enriched with subtle spicy notes of cocoa and light toast.
