Gran Vino Pazo de Barrantes 2022 is a white wine from D.O. Rías Baixas produced by Pazo de Barrantes , the Galician winery of the Marqués de Murrieta group. It is produced exclusively with Albariño from their own vineyards surrounding the pazo, in the Salnés Valley, planted on granitic soils that provide freshness and mineral character. The grapes are harvested by hand and the wine ferments slowly at low temperature before remaining on its lees for several months, which gives it greater complexity and texture.
The nose is intense and elegant, with aromas of stone fruit and tropical fruit such as mango and apricot , accompanied by floral notes and a delicate mineral and herbal background. The palate is fresh and precise, with good acidity, silky texture and a long finish with a marked saline character that reflects its Atlantic origin.
An Albariño of great elegance and ageing capacity that faithfully expresses the character of the Salnés Valley. Ideal with seafood, fish, seafood rice dishes or Mediterranean cuisine , where its freshness and complexity are perfectly integrated at the table.
