Marqués de Murrieta Reserva 2021 is a red wine from the DOCa Rioja made by the historic Marqués de Murrieta winery from a blend dominated by Tempranillo , accompanied by small proportions of Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha , from the emblematic Finca Ygay , located in Rioja Alta. After a careful manual harvest and grape selection, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for about 18 months in American oak barrels , and then refined in the bottle before its release.

In the glass it has an attractive cherry red color with garnet rim. The nose is intense and elegant, with aromas of ripe red and black fruit such as plum, blackcurrant and blackberry , accompanied by floral and spicy notes and delicate balsamic nuances typical of its aging.

The palate is balanced and enveloping, with fine tannins, good freshness and a silky texture that provides depth and persistence. A classic and refined Rioja, ideal with red meats, roasts, game dishes or cured cheeses , reflecting the elegant and traditional style of one of the most emblematic wineries in the region.
