Jorge Ordóñez Garnacha de Fuego 2022 is a red wine from D.O. Calatayud (Spain) made from 100% Garnacha de Aragón , sourced from old vineyards—between 50 and over 70 years old—grown at high altitude under dry-farming conditions. These traditional bush vines, farmed with minimal intervention, produce concentrated grapes that express the authentic character of Aragón’s historic Garnacha.
The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and concrete tanks , followed by a short ageing period in the same vessels to preserve fruit purity. The result is a vibrant, fruit-driven wine focused on freshness and varietal expression.
In the glass it shows a deep cherry-red colour with aromas of ripe red fruit, violets and balsamic spice notes. On the palate it is fresh, juicy and well balanced , with soft tannins and an easy-drinking, pleasant finish. A versatile wine, perfect with charcuterie, grilled meats or aged cheeses.
