Gran Reserva 890 1995 is one of the most iconic wines from La Rioja Alta, S.A., produced only in exceptional vintages and considered a benchmark of the classic style of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. This wine is made from a traditional blend dominated by Tempranillo (around 95%), alongside small proportions of Graciano and Mazuelo, sourced from selected vineyards in Rioja Alta. The production follows a traditional and lengthy process, including controlled fermentation, followed by a long aging period of approximately 6 years in American oak barrels with multiple manual racking. This method provides extraordinary complexity, making the wine a grand expression of Riojan classicism.
