This wine is made exclusively from grapes from the municipality of Lanciego, designed to capture the landscape, the viticultural tradition, and the Atlantic uniqueness that characterizes this area. The creation of Lanzaga involves a traditional blend of varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano, sourced from old vineyards cultivated in bush vines at altitudes between 450 and 700 meters, on calcareous, clayey, and sandy soils. With a strong commitment to sustainability, the viticulture applied is organic, incorporating biodynamic practices in part of its vineyards. Vinification occurs in cement tanks using indigenous yeasts, allowing for minimal intervention that highlights the purity and expression of the terroir. After this meticulous process, the wine rests for approximately 14 months in fudres and French oak barrels, where the wood integrates respectfully, bringing complexity without overwhelming its profile. On the nose, Lanzaga 2020 exhibits notable elegance and captivating expressiveness, with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, hints of plum, and herbaceous, floral, and spiced notes, complemented by a distinctive mineral backdrop.
