Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Ábalos 2020 is an exquisite red wine from the Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja, produced by Bodegas Remelluri. This wine is part of the Lindes project, led by Telmo Rodríguez, which aims to highlight the unique character of different historical villages in the region. In this case, the wine comes from the municipality of Ábalos, located in Rioja Alta. The grapes used are grown in vineyards situated at altitudes between 494 and 528 meters, on soils of marl and calcareous clay. The blend of this wine mainly combines the traditional varieties of Tempranillo and Garnacha, along with small proportions of other local grapes. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts, reinforcing the wine's identity, and is then aged for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels of various sizes. This process seeks to achieve a perfect balance between fruity flavors and the authentic expression of the terroir. On the nose, the wine presents captivating aromas of red and black fruits, like cherry and blackberry, fused with spicy notes and a delicate mineral background. On the palate, it is balanced and structured, with well-integrated tannins and a long, flavorful finish that evidences the distinctive character of the vineyard and the surroundings of Rioja Alta.
