Collection represents a new paradigm for Champagne Louis Roederer, evolving the already established excellence with the multi-award-winning Brut Premier. This non-vintage champagne originated in the 70s and 80s when complicated weather required an innovative blend. Born in 1986, Brut Premier marked the beginning of a new era. Now, nearly four decades later, with most vineyards in biodynamic and facing imminent climate change, the exceptional quality of the grapes allows for a re-evolution in the proposal, giving rise to Collection, which brings a new level of quality and differentiation. The three pillars that support Collection are its unique composition: it contains 44% reserve wines, including 4% of the Louis Roederer Perpetual Reserve, contributing to its structure and deepening its character. Additionally, Collection uses a solera of wines from different vintages, created exclusively for its production, as well as 10% of regular reserve wines, the oldest vintage being from 2009. This champagne also stands out for its low dosage of only 8g Az/l, bringing it closer to a Brut Nature, maintaining Roederer's characteristic freshness with a denser and more complex character, similar to the Vintages of other houses. Lastly, Collection differs each year according to the corresponding harvest, and its label identifies the number representing this dominant vintage. For example, Collection 244 corresponds to the 2019 harvest, which makes up 54% of the blend.
