The Marqués de Riscal Gran Reserva 2019 is a classic and refined expression from the Herederos del Marqués de Riscal winery, founded in 1858. Made only in exceptional vintages, this wine comes from old vineyards in Rioja Alavesa, some over 80 years old. Tempranillo predominates, with touches of Graciano and Mazuelo. After aging for approximately 32 months in American oak barrels, it rests in bottle. The result is a complex wine with rich aromas of dark fruit, liqueur cherries, tobacco, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is broad and silky, with a long and elegant finish. It pairs wonderfully with roasted lamb, red meats, and game dishes.
