Matsu El Viejo 2019 is a red wine from the Denomination of Origin Toro, made exclusively from Tinta de Toro grapes, also known as Tempranillo. This wine comes from centuries-old vineyards that, after responsible cultivation in poor, sandy soils of Castilla y León, provide grapes of great quality. The harvest is manual with careful grape selection to ensure the excellence of the final product. The wine is fermented with prolonged macerations and aged for approximately 16 months in new French oak barrels, giving it an elegant and complex structure. Matsu El Viejo presents a deep cherry-red color. On the nose, you can note ripe black fruits, cocoa, vanilla, and a blend of spices. On the palate, the wine is powerful with mature tannins providing a velvety texture and a long finish.
