With a history of mythification quite parallel to that achieved by Vega Sicilia within Spanish wines, the whole sector agreed on the appropriateness of the acquisition of the Hungarian firm by this winery from Valladolid.In 1993, only three years after the fall of communism, the Álvarez family arrived in Hungary and founded Tokaj-Oremus Vineyards and Winery. The estate's activities are centered in Tolcsva , where - connected to the labyrinth of subway cellars existing since the 13th century - in 1999 the new winery was built.The Álvarez family devoted much attention to the meticulous and respectful study of this wine to learn about its winemaking process and its history. The Álvarez family also made an effort to preserve, as much as possible, the tradition when managing the construction of the new winery.For the management of the new project, which revolves around one of the best located and most symbolic vineyards in the region , the Alvarez family recruited a professional team that knew the terroir very well, and sought out an experienced and entirely dedicated winemaker from the area to place him at the helm of this exciting aventura.Complejo and elegant, we perceive mineral aromas and wood in addition to fruity fragrances that bring freshness and firm acidity.
