Palacios Remondo Quiñón de Valdelareina 2023 is the new single vineyard wine by Álvaro Palacios in Rioja Oriental. After years of studying the vineyards of Monte Yerga, the Palacios family decided to bottle the Las Mulgas estate separately, convinced of its distinctive personality. This wine, from the first marketed vintage, comes from an exceptionally dry and warm year that challenged the vineyards. Thanks to the altitude and resilience of the old vines, it maintains extraordinary freshness and harmony. Aged in large wooden containers, its texture does not interfere with its aromatic profile, highlighting the terroir. On the nose, it presents aromas of wild strawberries, red cherries, blueberries, and violets, with notes of Mediterranean herbs, orange peel, licorice, sweet spices, and a delicate mineral background. On the palate, it is juicy, deep, and elegant, with fine tannins, excellent tension, and a long finish featuring red fruit, floral notes, and a spicy character. Ideal for pairing with roast lamb, game birds, mushrooms, mountain rice, and aged cheeses. It has a aging potential of 15 to 20 years.
