Quercus 2018 is a representative red wine from the Uclés Denomination of Origin, crafted by Bodegas Fontana, a family winery located in Fuente de Pedro Naharro, Cuenca. This wine results from a careful blend of the varieties Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, grown at altitude on limestone soils, giving them unique characteristics. Vinification takes place in modern stainless steel tanks, where temperature is meticulously controlled for optimal fermentation. The wine then matures for approximately 12 months in French oak barrels. This aging process not only contributes to the wine's complexity but also enhances the typical fruity expression of the varieties used. In tasting, Quercus 2018 presents aromas of ripe black fruit alongside spicy notes and toasted hints derived from its aging.
