Rafael Cambra Casa Sosegada 2023 represents one of the most personal creations of winemaker Rafael Cambra. This red wine is a tribute to the traditional wines that were produced in the country houses of the Valencia region of Fontanars dels Alforins. The project aims to recover the genuine character of the area using native grape varieties like Forcallà, Arco, Bonicaire, Rojal, and Monastrell. Fermentation with native yeasts, the use of whole clusters, and aging in concrete eggs allow it to express accurately the character of the vineyard, bringing freshness and a silky texture. On the nose, aromas of cherry, raspberry, and red fruits are appreciated, complemented by notes of Mediterranean herbs, flowers, and spices. On the palate, it is balanced and refined, with fine tannins and a long, dry finish, ideal for pairing with dishes like rice, white meats, and semi-aged cheeses.
