The Trasnocho Reserva 2019 is one of the standout wines from the Remírez de Ganuza winery, located in the prestigious Rioja Alavesa region. Following the ancient Rioja tradition of 'trasnocho' wines, meticulously selected old vines of over 60 years are used to achieve a high-quality red. The production process includes hand harvesting and selection of the best bunches of Tempranillo, complemented by small amounts of Graciano and skins of Viura and Malvasía. The malolactic fermentation in barrels and 17 months of aging in new French oak barrels provide structure and remarkable aging capacity. On the nose, intense aromas of blackberry, black plum, and cassis are perceived, with elegant notes of licorice and cocoa. On the palate, it is powerful and silky, with mature tannins and vibrant acidity. Ideal to accompany roast lamb and aged cheeses, this wine offers excellent aging potential.
