This solar honey has been harvested by our beekeeper Antonio, at the Núñez de Balboa solar park in Usagre, Badajoz (Extremadura). Antonio was the first beekeeper to believe in our project, and thanks to him, we started placing hives in the photovoltaic solar parks. In this case, the apiary consisted of 135 hives.
The honey is brownish-red in color, with a sweet taste and salty notes. It has a medium persistence aroma with floral hints. This honey crystallizes very slowly. It is harvested in Extremadura, between April and June.
