Ortodoxy Dictador is a gin from Colombia based on the formula of Darío Parra, former president of the company and a fan of premium gins. After numerous visits to the United Kingdom, he returned to Colombia determined to create his own gin. He studied different formulas until developing Ortodoxy Gin, which for years was made only for his personal consumption before being marketed internationally. Its formula combines berries, botanicals, peels, roots and spices. On the nose it shows a balance between the bitterness of the roots, the freshness of the botanicals, the sweet-and-sour character of the berries and peels, and the warmth of the spices. Notes of juniper and angelica stand out, accompanied by mint, lemon and pepper. On the palate it is described as tasty and smooth, with the astringency and sweet-and-sour nuance of classic gin. In the glass, its clarity stands out. Presentation: 70 cl bottle. Its alcohol content is 43%. Tasting notes suggest pairing it with a wide range of tonics and serving it with a slice of lemon for a classic serve.
