The Emilio Moro Red Wine 50cl from Bodegas Emilio Moro, presents us with this red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O., made from 100% Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) grape varieties.
Elegant and subtle, marked by a very limited production that brings out the best essences. It is a powerful, balanced wine with a supernatural elegance, with Tempranillo aromas polished by aging.
This wine is an excellent representative of what a very good "generic" from the Ribera del Duero should be. The wine that carries the winery's name is its undisputed reference and best introduction since 1998. Made with grapes from vineyards between 10 and 25 years old, it has set a style in the area that has been imitated to satiety. However, the Moro family continues to excel year after year, offering great expression and flavor without the need for heavy concentrations.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with subsequent aging in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
The vineyard from which the grapes used to make this wine come from is located in Pesquera de Duero, in the province of Valladolid, and grows on clay-limestone-stony soils.
The Moro family's history has been written since 1932 as a project of three generations rooted in the Ribera del Duero and dedicated to discovering the characteristics of their terroir to transmit them in wines with personality.
Currently, Bodegas Emilio Moro owns 200 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located around Pesquera de Duero, the birthplace of the winery's founder, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero.
