The new Protos facilities (designed by Richard Rogers) are connected underground to the old winery, which features galleries carved into the mountain of Peñafiel Castle, where the winery’s wines currently mature in unbeatable conditions.
The Protos Crianza Red Wine is hand-harvested in 20 kg boxes. It undergoes a selection process on the sorting table. Maceration with skins and fermentation lasts for 21 days at 28 ºC.
It is made from 100% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) grapes. It is aged for 14 months in American and French oak barrels.
