The Red Wine Proventus from Bodegas Tr3smano - Lagar de Proventus, presents us with this red wine from the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made from the grape varieties 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo).
Grape origin: Tinta del País vineyards planted in a goblet shape supported by Olmedillo area, at about 850 meters above sea level on poor soils. Low yields and fruit of surprising quality are achieved from them.
Elaboration: Hand-harvested in small crates. Meticulous selection of grapes on the reception table. Filling of barrels and aging for 12 months. Natural stabilization of the wine exclusively through racking and exposure to the cold of the environment.
Recommended serving temperature: 16ºC.
The name Tr3smano permanently refers to the initial number of dreamers who originated this wine: three.
It also indicates the expression of old Castilian - "trasmano" or "desmano" - to identify what is out of reach but a little further back, out of the way; everything that is not easy to find and achieve, like making a good wine.
For Tr3smano - Lagar de Proventus, wine is made in the vineyard. Then, innovation and tradition come together to ensure that each bottle is a small work of art.
Tr3smano is nourished by large vineyards located in three of the best wine subzones of Ribera del Duero located in the Golden Mile, in Valladolid. Together, they cover a total area of about 55 hectares of vineyard, all with very low production.
All vineyards are planted exclusively with Tempranillo or Tinta del país - Tinta fina, mostly cultivated in a goblet training system.
The work is done completely by hand with the utmost care possible to respect the quality of the grapes.
The winery is surrounded by a first vineyard of 50 years: the Lagar Vineyard. This, together with the Rábano vineyard, is cultivated on very poor sandy-loam soils.
