The Carmelo Rodero 9 Months Magnum Red Wine from Bodegas Carmelo Rodero is made with 100% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) and belongs to the D.O. Ribera del Duero.
It comes from vineyards aged between 5 and 20 years and has a classic production with destemmed and semi-crushed grapes. Temperature control during fermentation and maceration. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 20-22ºC.
It has an aging of 9 months in French and American oak barrels, and it remains in the bottle rack for a minimum of 3 months before commercialization.
Recommended serving temperature: Between 14-16ºC.
140 hectares. These are spread across different plots, thus taking advantage of various soils to achieve maximum diversity in their grapes, which translates into complexity in the wines. The average age of the vineyard is over 30 years, combining younger vineyards with others that have nearly 100 harvests.
This area of the Ribera is characterized by its specific climate, where periods with slight Atlantic and continental influence are related, with dry summers and long, harsh winters with marked thermal fluctuations.
The altitude of our vineyards ranges between 900 meters in the case of interfluvial hills, to 750 meters in the valleys.
The soils are clayey, although calcareous soils, poor in organic matter and slightly alkaline, combined with pebbles, silts, and sands are not excluded.
The main objective of Bodegas Carmelo Rodero is to obtain the highest quality in their grapes. This goal is achieved year after year because their wines are made from their own vineyards, where the control of them is carried out personally.
