If you are thinking of buying red wine with personality, history, and careful production, the Flâneur The Young Stroller Malbec Perdriel Red Wine is an excellent choice within the world of international wine. Coming from Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza, Argentina), this wine faithfully expresses the character of one of the country's most emblematic terroirs.
The vineyard is located 970 meters above sea level, in a plot of 2.2 hectares with vines over 40 years old, with limited production: less than 4,000 kg per hectare. This low productivity results in grapes with great concentration, perfect for achieving an intense, balanced, and profound Malbec.
The soils of this vineyard are formed by a rocky subsoil on which layers of sand, silt, and clay settle, ensuring good drainage and an ideal structure for vine development. In addition, the low organic matter content in the soil limits plant vigor, favoring greater aromatic concentration and uniform ripeness. The vines are trained in head-trained and trellised, with surface irrigation by furrow.
The production process begins with hand harvesting in 20 kg boxes, followed by meticulous cluster selection. The stems are separated without crushing, allowing the grapes to pass whole into the stainless steel tank. A 48-hour pre-fermentation maceration is carried out, followed by 14 days of fermentation and a 30-day post-fermentation maceration, providing structure, softness, and elegance to the wine.
Next, the wine is aged for 6 months in 3rd, 4th, and 5th use French oak barrels, adding complexity and roundness without masking the fruit.
The result is an authentic, elegant, and balanced Malbec, with notes of black fruits, violets, soft spices, and a mineral touch that reflect the Mendoza terroir. In the mouth, it is enveloping, with round tannins, good acidity, and a long, fresh finish.
If you want to buy wine from Argentina that combines tradition, technique, and origin, the Flâneur The Young Stroller Malbec Perdriel is an ideal option. And if you have doubts, our sommelier is at your disposal to advise you. Discover the pleasure of traveling the world through each glass.
