Vino Tinto Marañones is an inspiring wine that reflects the essence of the terroir in which it is grown. Composed of an astonishing blend of Garnacha and Morenillo varieties, this wine comes from vineyards aged between 30 to 70 years, growing in highly weathered granitic soils, with a sandy texture and rich organic matter. This environment favors the adaptation of the grapes to a dry Mediterranean climate with warm summers and long winters. Marañones Winery carefully selects its grapes through manual harvesting in 18-kilogram boxes. The wine undergoes a careful cold pre-fermentation maceration process, followed by fermentation in wooden vats. It is then transferred to French oak barrels, both new and used. The aging is divided into two stages: first, eight months of aging on lees in barrels, and then a blending aging in a 4,500-liter wooden vat for approximately two months. To fully enjoy its complexity, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 16º.
