Pago de los Capellanes Crianza red wine, 2023 vintage, from Pago de los Capellanes winery, located in Pedrosa del Duero (Burgos), with D.O. Ribera del Duero. Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes and presented in a 75 cl bottle, it has an alcohol content of 13.5%. After the grapes are harvested, alcoholic fermentation lasts 30 days. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out for about 22 days at a controlled temperature of around 20 °C. It rests for 12 months in French oak barrels with medium toast and continues ageing in bottle for about 18 months. It has an intense cherry-red colour with cardinal tones on the rim. On the nose it combines fruit and wood with vanilla aromas. Its entry on the palate is smooth and fills the mouth, with fine tannins and a long, elegant finish. It is recommended to serve between 16 and 18 °C and decant one hour before serving. The product sheet indicates a rating of 92.
