Valtravieso Bodegas y Viñedos presents the Valdelobas Red Wine by Valtravieso, a single-variety Tinto Fino that grows in the most calcareous areas of the parcels 'La Cotarra Alta' and 'Valdelobas' of its estate 'La Revilla'. This wine stands out for its expressiveness, character, and elegance, offering a unique sensory experience in every sip. With limited production, its quality has been recognized with outstanding ratings, such as 92 points in the Guía Peñín 2022 for the 2018 vintage and 96 points by Tim Atkin for the same vintage, as well as a Silver Medal at the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2020 for the 2016 vintage. The elaboration methodology is rigorous, starting with the selection of the best grapes and a short pre-fermentation maceration. During fermentation, the grapes are gently infused to extract their compounds, followed by a prolonged post-fermentation maceration determined by tasting. This wine rests for 16 months in barrels, 12 of which are in fine French oak barrels, and 4 additional months in fudre, avoiding excessive wood. This wine is an ideal option for lovers of characterful reds.
