Reserva red wine from Bodegas Bilbaínas with D.O.Ca Rioja, Spain. It is made from 90% Tempranillo, 5% Garnacha and 5% Graciano and aged for 20 months in French and American oak barrels. It is presented in a 75 cl bottle, with an alcohol content of 14 % vol. The description presents this limited edition as a tribute to the birth of Viña Pomal in 1908, coinciding with the 2010 vintage, rated excellent by the Rioja Regulatory Council. It is the result of a selection of 106 barrels carried out by Alejandro López, the winery's winemaker. The commercial sheet indicates the 2020 vintage, different from the one mentioned in the edition story; please confirm the available vintage. Visually, it shows a cherry red colour with a garnet rim of medium to high intensity. On the nose it offers liquorice, forest fruits, violets and fennel, over a mineral background with notes of chocolate and cedar. On the palate it is structured and flavorful, with great persistence and balance. The label brings back the blue of Bilbao, the city that gives Bodegas Bilbaínas its name.
