Sanamaro White Wine
The Sanamaro Wine is a white wine with the D.O. Rías Baixas designation and is made from the grape varieties 90% Albariño and 10% Loureiro, sourced from the Marqués de Vargas Winery.
It is a unique wine from the Pazo de San Mauro, created from the selection of Albariño and Loureiro grapes from the La Fraga and Los Bancales plots, the oldest vineyards in the Condado de Tea. This vineyard stretches over stone terraces along the banks of the Miño River, creating a natural amphitheater oriented to the south. The vines are planted in semi-trellises so that the fruits, which have a very limited production, can grow under optimal conditions and reach their highest quality. The vineyards enjoy an exceptional microclimate with plenty of hours of sunlight exposure, allowing them to achieve their fullest and earliest ripening.
The Sanamaro white wine is only produced in years of fullness when excellent phenolic maturity of the grape is achieved. The aging process is done on lees, employing a meticulous bâtonnage process for several months to enhance the expressiveness of the ripe fruit, accompanied by balsamic notes and the minerality provided by the Galician granite soil.
The best clusters are selected, and depending on their characteristics, 1/3 is made as whole clusters, adding freshness to the wine, while 2/3 is made with destemmed grapes that are cold macerated for several hours before pressing to extract the maximum identity of aromas.
It is recommended to serve at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C.
