Ribera del Duero (Spain)

Net weight:

The Vino Tinto Vetusta Viñas de Fuentenebro is a wine from the D.O Ribera del Duero, made exclusively from Tempranillo grapes. Coming from vineyards located at 960 and 1000 meters above sea level in Fuentenebro, it offers a fresh and balanced profile. It has matured in French and American oak barrels, providing elegance and freshness on the palate.
This exceptional Vino Tinto Vetusta Viñas de Fuentenebro is part of the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero, noted for its production from 100% Tempranillo grapes. The grapes were carefully selected from two vineyards situated in the altitudes of Fuentenebro, Burgos, in areas that stand out for their uniqueness: 'El Bosque', characterized by pebble soil at 960 meters, and 'el Carrascalon', where red clay and heights of up to 1000 meters influence the cultivation. Harvesting was done manually to ensure the grapes reached the winery in perfect condition, packed in 15 kg boxes. In the winery, the grapes are cooled for a preferred maceration to preserve all the fruit aromas. After fermentation, the wine undergoes two months of maturation in concrete tanks, followed by six months in barrels, a combination of 80% French and 20% American oak. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, this wine presents a notable balance between acidity and tannins, offering a freshness characteristic of its terroir. Additionally, its visual presentation shows violet hues that reveal its youth. To fully enjoy its potential, it is recommended to serve it between 13°C and 15°C. If you are looking for a red wine that combines freshness and elegance, Vetusta Viñas de Fuentenebro will surprise you with its complexity on the palate and nose, with notes of red fruits like cherry and currant.
