The Vino Tinto Hito Magnum is a creation of Bodega Cepa 21, located in the prestigious D.O. Ribera del Duero. This 100% Tempranillo wine is made from selected grapes from the lower parts of the vineyard. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 30 days, followed by 8 months aging in French oak barrels. Bodega Cepa 21 was envisioned by brothers Javier and Jose Moro of Bodegas Emilio Moro, one of the most iconic in Ribera del Duero. With 'Hito', they aim to fuse tradition and modernity, crafting wines that capture the essence of the terroir. The term "HITO" symbolizes a stone post that indicates direction, reflecting the guiding character of the wine in the winery. Hito is designed to complement the range of a modern winery, crafted with young vineyards grafted with clones of Tinto Fino from the most prestigious vineyards of Bodegas Emilio Moro. The Moro family's history dates back to 1932, reflecting their commitment to discovering the unique character of Ribera del Duero, where they own 200 hectares of vineyards. The 2024 vintage presents a balanced wine on the palate, with good acidity, noble tannic expression, and a persistent finish. On the nose, primary aromas of Tempranillo dominate, with spicy and balsamic notes, while visually it offers a cherry red color with violet edges.
