The Red Wine Labastida 1786 comes from Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida, under the prestigious Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja in Spain. This wine is exclusively made from Tempranillo grapes sourced from vineyards that are over 40 years old. The harvest is done by hand to ensure the highest quality grapes, which are destemmed without crushing. Long controlled macerations at low temperatures take place in stainless steel tanks, using the délestage method to achieve optimal polyphenol extraction. Aging lasts 16 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity and balance. Visually, it showcases an intense dark cherry core with a pink rim. The nose reveals notes of cocoa, wild fruits like black cherry, and hints of mint with mineral and balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is broad and flavorful, with pleasant tannins and a smooth finish. It has an alcohol content of 14% and comes in a 75 cl bottle. Ideal for pairing with red meats and hearty dishes.
