The replaceable shower filter (50,000l) adds the possibility of changing the internal filter without having to change the whole piece, unlike the small one, which requires a complete product replacement. The heat and steam from the water open the pores, leading to a high rate of absorption of chlorine and other chemicals by the skin (our largest absorbing organ). The steam from a hot shower can contain up to 20 times the concentration of chlorine in tap water. Inhaling chlorine vapors (and other chemicals) is a likely cause of bronchitis and asthma, and skin contact can cause eczema and other skin irritations. The chlorine and trihalomethanes we absorb in our showers significantly damage our skin, hair, and intestinal flora.
