Vodka Absolut is a vodka from Sweden created in 1879 by Lars Olsson Smith, who introduced continuous distillation, instead of distilling the vodka three or four times, it was distilled an infinite number of times.
Every drop of Absolut Vodka produced by The Absolut Company comes from a single location: the small village of Åhus, in southern Sweden.
Vodka Absolut is made exclusively from natural ingredients and, unlike many other vodkas, it does not contain added sugar. The main ingredients are water and winter wheat.
The water comes from a deep well in Åhus, protected against impurities. This winter wheat is different from other crops: it is planted in autumn and harvested the following year.
Meanwhile, it grows under the Swedish snow, developing a hard grain. In addition, the use of fertilizers is minimal. The continuous distillation method is used, which involves distilling the vodka an infinite number of times, unlike other vodkas that are distilled 3 or 4 times.
