Avaniel is a young red wine made from grapes from one of the coolest vineyards in Monteabellón called "Los Miles". It is also one of the youngest vineyards with vines between 6 and 10 years old. These conditions make Avaniel a fresh wine with rich fruity notes. Monteabellón Winery was founded in 2000 in Nava de Roa, being a family winery that draws on the experience of several generations to produce their wines.

Production and aging

Young wine made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, from the freshest vineyards of Monteabellón, called "Los Miles". Clay-limestone soil, with some alluvial soil, average altitude of 800 meters above sea level. Elaborated by the traditional system, 8 days maceration, 5-6 pumpovers per day, malolactic fermentation in tank.

Tasting notes of Avaniel Joven Red

  • Appearance: Very intense clean and very bright garnet red color.
  • Nose: Very good aromatic intensity that conveys a sensation of fresh red fruit (red currant cherry).
  • Palate: Very pleasant on the palate both for its initial smoothness and for the balance shown by its excellent fruitiness.
