Figuero 4 is a young red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O, produced by Viñedos y Bodegas García Figuero.

Production and Aging

Figuero 4 is made with 100% Tempranillo, with an average age of between 15 and 20 years. The harvest was done manually, in 12-kilo baskets. Subsequently, there was a peculiar cold maceration for 2 to 3 days at 12ºC. The alcoholic fermentation was spontaneous and was done at a maximum temperature of 28ºC, with 2 daily pump-overs and 1 "délestage" at the end of fermentation. After fermentation, there was a second maceration for 15 days.

The aging was done in new barrels (50%) and 1 wine: 75% American, 25% French.
