7 Fuentes comes from 30 plots that reflect the essence of the Orotava Valley, one of the five designations of origin in Tenerife. It is the entry-level red wine from the Suertes del Marqués winery, but stands out for its expressive and complex personality, being an excellent introduction to the volcanic wines of the island. It combines freshness, character, and depth, showing the uniqueness of the vines grown on lava soils.
Tasting notes
Deep and perfumed nose, with aromas of red fruit, floral notes, and a very characteristic touch of volcanic reduction. On the palate, it is electric, lively, and with good volume, showing a balanced combination of freshness, minerality, and a smooth finish.
Elaboration
Made with 95% Listán Negro, from young vines and others over a hundred years old. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel and cement tanks. 70% of the wine ages 9 months in concrete tanks, while the remaining 30% spends 9 months in French oak barrels, achieving aromatic complexity and a rounder texture.
Pairing
Ideal with blue fish, white meats, traditional Canarian dishes, light stews, Mediterranean rice dishes, semi-cured cheeses, and recipes with smoked or spicy touches. Its fresh and mineral profile makes it very versatile with modern and fusion cuisine.
