Calaguala is a fern that grows mainly in the highlands of Central America. Its extracts have immunomodulatory effects and can be applied in many autoimmune disorders. It is associated with the correction of T-lymphocyte imbalance, specifically by increasing the levels of suppressor T8 lymphocytes and the consequent normalization of the T4/T8 ratio.
